My heart as a pastor is for people to know and experience the love of God. Jesus is the one who
brings us to a place of freedom. The Holy Spirit brings us an awareness of our need for God,
our need for forgiveness, and a relationship with the Father. Living in the abundance of God
through His love, peace, and joy is what carries us through every aspect of our lives with great
empowerment to face the world with confidence. I want to empower you to live the best life God
has for you!
In my own journey I have faced many trials, but God has always brought me through to a broad
place where I am able to breathe and live the life he has always intended me to live. I pray you
will join us and our community of faith at Wesley Chapel and St. John’s Methodist Church, a.k.a.
as the Edinburg Methodist Parish. God has good plans for you! Come and hear what the Lord
has for us as we journey together learning more about who God is and who we are as His
people.
I began my journey as a pastor in 2011 through the United Methodist Church and now serve as
an elder in the Global Methodist Church since December 1, 2023. The Edinburg Methodist Parish became
Global Methodists on December 1, 2023. We are exciting about what God is doing in the GMC
and in our community of churches. We hold the Word of God as authority, we seek to live a
Spirit-filled life, and to glorify God in all that we do. Our prayer is God will use us for His plans
and purposes to proclaim and live the Good News of Jesus. Join us!
On a personal note, I have been married twenty-three years to my best friend and love of my
life, Bob Hendricks. We share a combined family of eight adult children, 25 grandchildren, and
one great-grandchild. We love our two furry children, Emmie a cockapoo and Jasper a
goldendoodle! They certainly add a lot of joy and fun to this life God has blessed us with!
Grace and peace to you!
Rev. Terry L. Hendricks attended Liberty Baptist University (online) earning a degree in Religion

We invite you to visit Edinburg Methodist Parish and experience our community firsthand. Whether you are seeking a new church home or simply curious about our faith, we welcome you with open arms.
